about us
The club was formed in 1910, making it the oldest club in West
Virginia and one of the oldest clubs in America. The founding
members wanted a club where people
who loved to ride could come together as
a brotherhood and share their passion for
motorcycles. The Patch back then was
similar to the one the club wears today. It
was sewn on the front of a blue sweater.
The club continued until the mid 1960's.
In 2001, Big Les, Chappy, Superman,
Squirrel, and Lewman, spent countless
hours working together to re-establish the
club. Like the founding members from
1910, the new charter members wanted to
have a club for people who loved to ride
motorcycles and live the lifestyle. Without
their passion for riding and their vision of what the club could be, the
Huntington Motorcycle Club would not be here today and a part of
Huntington's biker past would be lost.
The club is still going strong today. As an AMA club our purpose is
"to pursue, promote and protect the interests of motorcyclists". We
do that and a lot more. We strive to protect the rights of all riders.
We work hard to promote a positive image to the public and reach
out to help others. We participate in charity rides and help raise
money for fellow bikers who have been injured or become ill. But
most of all we forge an everlasting brotherhood between all our
members. We become not just a club, but a family. We stand up for
each other and help one another out in times of need.
If you're interested in becoming part of the HMC family and you think
you've got what it takes, we would like to hear from you. For more
information on becoming a member, contact any HMC member, or
